Come one, come all!  We wish all of our friends around the world could join us for a great weekend of fun and fellowship.  Mike and Barbara Gray, TEAM missionary friends living in Takamatsu, Japan will be coming for the weekend of Dec. 5-7 to join us in a weekend of outreach through music.  They specialize in Country/Bluegrass style music and will perform in both English and Japanese.  In case your Japanese is rusty, this flier says that they will be performing:
1.  at our local Starbucks on Fri., the 5th at both 7 and 8 p.m.
2.  at our monthly English Cafe on Sat. evening, the 6th
3.  during our Sunday morning worship on the 7th
4. and giving a full concert in Japanese at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

It is our hope that these events will be a delightful time for all involved and also bring many new people to visit Agape Bible Church.

2008 Baptisms #2 and #3

Mizuki Komaki

Miyu Akano

Murray and the girls

What an exciting day!  November 9th we had two more baptisms.  It is interesting that all of our baptisms this year have been young ladies ages 13 and under.  Yet, these gals are seriously seeking after God's heart and have a desire to live for Him!  Praise God!  We pray that they will continue their fervor to share the light of Jesus' love with those around them.

Mizuki Komaki is 11 years old and has been a part of Agape since she was a toddler.  A few years ago her mom was baptized at Agape as well.  Mizuki has been studying English since she was little and is now an excellent speaker of both Japanese and English.  She likes to help in the church and the Sunday School and often helps Kathy with any little jobs that need to be done.  Recently, she has been taking care of switching the overhead projector sheets for the church music.

Miyu Akano is the first one in her family to be baptized.  She is 8 years old and loves Jesus very much.  Her dream is to become a school teacher and a pastor's wife and be active sharing God's love with those around her.  Her testimony was beautiful to listen to and I wish you could all hear it and understand the Japanese.  She started coming to church because the daughters of our co-workers, the Ames', were in her swimming class, along with Mizuki (above) and they became friends.  That's the short version anyway.  The evidence of God's working in her family and personally in her life and heart is very obvious.  Her mom and her younger brother come to church quite often as well.
